Oct. 6th, 2007 @ 02:50 pm I don't hate you
Hi livejournal, I don't hate you, really.

Look, I've just been really busy, okay?

No really, startups are hard! I thought that quitting the dayjob meant I'd have more free time somewhere, not that I'd just start working 80 hours a week.

I <3 you, please don't be like that.

Love always,
Peter

P.S.
I'm trying to sell a car here in san antonio, check it out.

Nov. 10th, 2006 @ 09:13 am Introducing Metaversatility
So I've been doing work in virtual worlds lately, lots of it. Primarily I've been working in Second Life(www.secondlife.com), I had an independent contracting service (Peter Newell Custom Scripting Services, www.pnewell.com), and have recently moved to found Metaversatility (www.metaversatility.com) a full service development company. So far it's been incredible, have been able to do some phenomenal projects to really expand the capabilities of virtual worlds. Being the complete technophile that I am, this is incredible for me and I hope you get a chance to check it out. Incidentally, as you probably gathered from above, I was able to take my former name for my avatar in Second Life. It just so happened to work out that Newell was a choice on the last names list at the time so I couldn't help it. So if you happen to make it into Second Life, look me up, send me an IM, I can show you some of the finer places and things to do.

Aug. 30th, 2006 @ 07:55 pm Glorious Day
As you well know, I don't post terribly often, so when I do it means that much more.

Well my friends, today is a glorious day.

Last October, I read an article in the newspaper that BLEW MY MIND. It spoke of a wondrous establishment I've only seen a few times in my life, and nowhere anywhere near Texas.

I also once wrote of such an establishment back in May of 2004.

Yes, that's right, the drive through daquiris have made it to San Antonio.

Please help me keep this place in business and go buy yourself a 32 ounce margarita for the road!

I've decided I really don't like that Brokeback Mountain has brought about a new wave of it being cool to label things as gay in a bad light. I can't say that I'm surprised, it just seems to be all too popular with my coworkers and I find myself wanting to punch them every time. Seriously people, what the fuck?

Jan. 29th, 2006 @ 09:32 am Saddam Hussein

You know, I really wonder why they are even bothering to try Saddam Hussein. Is it just that they want the Iraqi people to see him "brought to justice"? If so, then why is such bullshit allowed in the courtroom? I know this new judge is breaking down on it, but fuck, just kill the asshole and get it over with. He is a bad man, everyone knows that, and giving him a chance to play in the dog and pony show isn't going to change it.

Jan. 22nd, 2006 @ 11:39 am Dear BMG Music Technical Support
my account number is 8769628218.

I cancelled my account, but I'm still logged in, at the very least you should log me out such that I cannot go and delete all of my profile information so your stupid account people can't contact me again.

I really want my account deleted, I don't want to hear from anyone again. I've cancelled before and was suckered back into your service because of some slick willy salesperson.

Please, please, just delete my information from your database, or if you cannot delete it, do whatever it takes to make them not try and call me. I no longer live at the address you all have on file, if I'm lucky my phone number will not be valid either.

IT'S NOT ME IT'S YOU.

sincerely,

Johnny CancelledHisAccount

I figure it's about damn time I update this thing with something other than "hey guys, I'm not gonna make it to the saucer tonight", so here goes.

When you don't have sour mix or coke, an adequate replacement for the two in a long island iced tea is simply 1 part lime juice. It's still 83.33% liquor, and when served in a tall glass will definitely do the trick.

Everything is great,

Peter.

Nov. 29th, 2005 @ 08:55 pm gasp, a meme. Sorry, I was bound by rules.
If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don’t speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want—good or bad—BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.

When you’re finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON’T ACTUALLY remember about you.
